Entrance to The Hundred of Hoo Academy Post-16
Minimum entry criteria for Sixth Form is:
- 9-4 GCSE grades (or Level 2 Applied General equivalents/, including a minimum grade 4 in English and Mathematics.
- In addition, each A-Level/Applied General or Tech Award qualification has subject specific entry requirements that must be met.
The expectation is that over 2 years, students will undertake 3 A-Levels, Applied General or Tech Award courses.
If necessary, we offer the opportunity for a resit of GCSE Mathematics. This will be discussed on an individual basis following GCSE results.
3D Design
Grade 4 or above in any Art based/ portfolio subject and if not studied the minimum entry criteria for Sixth Form entry is required
Art
Grade 5 or above in Art
Biology
Grade 6 in Biology or 6-6 in Combined Science and grade 6 in Mathematics.
Business Studies
Level 2 Merit at Business, if not studied at Level 2 (GCSE) the minimum entry criteria for Sixth Form entry is required
BTEC Applied Science
Grade 5 or above in Combined Science and grade 5 in Mathematics
Chemistry
Grade 6 in Chem or 6-6 in Combined Science and grade 6 in Mathematics.
English Literature
Grade 6 or above in English Literature and Language
English Language and Literature
Grade 5 or above in English Language and Literature
