The Knife Angel

“On Thursday 19th September a group of 50 Hundred of Hoo pupils were able to visit the Knife Angel exhibition at Rochester Cathedral. Pupils were amazed to find out that the large sculpture created from over 100,000 seized or amnestied knives from The UK. Pupils were given information regarding the dangers of knife crime, as well as walking through the crypt of the Cathedral to read personal stories and case studies of victims of knife crime. Whilst taking in the atmosphere and viewing the Angel, pupils were also given the opportunity to sign the pledge to never carry a knife for violence or attack, which will be presented to the Prime Minister when the Knife Angel moves to its next destination.”
