A Level Results Day 2022 – 18th August 2022

The Hundred of Hoo are celebrating another outstanding set of A-Level results.  In the first year of examinations since the pandemic, our students have achieved results that are a testament to their hard work throughout their time at the Hundred of Hoo. 

The results are the best ever achieved in an examination series. 

  • At A-Level the average grade was a C, and at Applied General a Distinction-. 
  • 33% of all grades awarded to student were A*-B or equivalent. 
  • 77% of A-Level grades were A*-C. 

All students who applied to University were accepted onto their chosen courses. In addition, those pursuing apprenticeships and employment have been successful in their applications. All students leave the Hundred of Hoo secure in their next steps of study or employment. 

Particular successes include: 

  • Mason H: A,A,C criminology, geography and English Literature respectively. 
  • Bobby F: A, B, distinction* in history,criminology, and sport studies, in addition to grade A in core mathematics. Bobby will continue his studies at Warwick University, reading history. 
  • Molly D: A* in criminology and photography, B in history and merit in applied science. Molly will continue her study of criminology at the University of Kent 
  • Caitlin R: A*, B, C in criminology, history and sociology. Caitlin will continue with her studies at the University of Surrey, social and crim 
  • Lillie A: B, C in criminology, history and media studies respectively. 
  • Emma J: A,A,B in criminology, sociology and geography. 
  • Charlie S: In addition to digital media, Charlie achieved grade A in both history and media studies. Charlie will embark on an apprenticeship finance industry apprentice 
  • Joshua H was thrilled to achieve grade B in both history and media studies, alongside a merit in applied science and an A in core mathematics. 
  • Charlie will be pursuing a course in automotive engineering at the University of Hertfordshire. 

We thank all staff, students and families for their combined hard work. Today’s results really were a team effort and we are incredibly proud. 

We wish all our Year 13 students the best of luck in all their future endeavours.
